Painting wildlife in watercolour is incredibly popular, so in this lesson we will paint a pheasant using lots of the tips, tricks and techniques I have shared over the past months. You'll be able to apply these to all sorts of birds, even if you are not keen on pheasants.Starting with a thumbnail sketch, selecting our colours and then painting the bird should be a fun experience!

I go through the paper, colours and brushes. In real time this took about 90 minutes. You can hear me muttering to myself, so this is a real painting. It isn't one that I've done a million times and making it all look easy! I hope you learn lots along the way.
