Dragged in front of Maine’s crew and told the Sandevistan on his spine was never meant for him, David has to talk fast and move faster to prove he’s worth more alive than dead, turning his stolen chrome into a ticket onto the team instead of a death sentence. His “welcome party” is a high‑risk heist that throws him in with Lucy, Rebecca, Dorio, Pilar and the rest of the gang, locking them inside a corp exec’s limo, slamming them into a highway chase, and pushing David to red‑line his new gear just to survive—while a few sharp comments from fixer Faraday at the end quietly spell out the truth: now that David’s running with edgerunners, there’s no going back to a normal life.
