As much as I love Pioneer, this is embarassingly bad and made me cringe when I saw this playing in a store when it was new. The way he explains letterboxing is ridiculous, and there's a montage of movie art (taken from laserdisc covers) of titles that took YEARS to come out on DVD- Fox wasn't even supporting the format at all when this was made!
At least it acknowledges laserdisc, and I wasn't yet convinced that DVD would be an improvement over it. In fact I thought it would be a mess of compression artifacts yet kill laserdisc off anyways.
