I haven’t seen many videos on YouTube of people doing this, so this is how I modified my 60” Rigid Job Box to fit around the wheel wells of my 2011 Ram 1500.
I did end up bolting it down to the truck bed from the inside of the box. I also painted the raw metal on the inside of the box corners to protect from rust. I also cut a large rubber mat to fit along the floor of the box to protect the paint and dampen noise from tools.
If you don’t have a welder, you might be able to get away with using some strong epoxy on the corners.
I am not a welder, but I used a cheap harbor freight one that I had available.
You can also add drain holes to your liking since the factory ones are up off of the floor with the modifications.
Total project took me about 10 hours over the course of a weekend, with lots of brakes in between.
There are lots of ways you could have done this project, but the way I did it was cheap and easy for me.
