Download the latest release of sm64coopdx from here: https://github.com/coop-deluxe/sm64co...
Run the executable and follow the provided instruction to have the game running
Download and extract the Mega Man X mod inside sm64coopdx's "mods" folder. The folder structure should be: mods → mmx_[currentVersion] → (whatever is inside the mod. main.lua, etc..)
