Data Cleansing in TABLEAU PREP is TOO EASY! | Revenue Modelling Exercise with Tableau Desktop

Data cleansing is an essential skill you need to have as an Analyst. That's because most if not all data we use needs to be restructured or manipulated in some way. Otherwise, it's unusable or gives us incorrect results.

There are many different ways to clean data. One of my favorites is Tableau Prep. It's a data cleansing tool that's part of the Tableau Creator License and works with flows.

Flows are sequences of steps where we perform cleansing such as removing unwanted fields, consolidating values, renaming, grouping, calculating, and more.

Of course, you can do this Excel, but the issue is that it's not repeatable or controlled. Tableau Prep allows us to program the cleansing process.
