In 2013, we produced 16,216 cubic metres of concrete at the Ötigheim plant from 6,012 tonnes of cement, 27,815 tonnes of sand and gravel and 2,027,013 litres of water.

Concrete is particularly resistant and robust. Concrete structures that are several thousand years old are still in use today. Once it has been shaped, concrete retains it permanently, does not shrink or fade and remains reliably stable and highly resilient. For a long time, drainage channels were made of conventional concrete.

HAURATON has been using fibre-reinforced concrete for channel production since the beginning of the 1970s. Concrete achieves a significantly higher bending tensile strength through the use of fibres. As with trees, plants or bones, the fibres form a woven net which gives the concrete maximum stability. Nature provides what is needed to produce concrete. The main components are sand, gravel, water and cement. Cement mainly consists of limestone or chalk and clay and together with water forms the cement glue which binds the aggregate and produces an extremely hard and robust composite material.

HAURATON procures these raw materials via short transport routes from local producers. Thus FASERFIX is a strong material for reliable and long-lasting drainage products. FASERFIX is permanently tight and does not rust, is emission-free and fireproof. And whatever becomes more important, FASERFIX is a sustainable material that is produced in a resource-saving manner.
