The Following Video Was Made Previously on My DareDB KPop Channel

Fellow K-Pop Fans and Shawols. This video goes down as not only my longest video to date, but also my most difficult to make. I'm still having a hard time processing the news I woke up to on Monday. SHINee was the first group I loved and really helped get me into K-Pop many years ago. They forever changed my life. They helped me even consider moving to Korea in 2011; for which I am thankful for having the many memories I've had living there for over three years. It all wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for them and K-Pop. Never in my life have I cried over a celebrity's death, but this one meant something to me. It really hit home, because someone I followed dearly and admired took his own life. Living in Korea firsthand made me see the issues the country has, and mental health and depression was something that was prevalent there. I hope Jonghyun's death becomes the catalyst Korea needs. A time for a change for the better. I do hope SM releases Jonghyun's album and donates all proceeds to suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Because this time is different, Korea. This death in 2017 has shown that the world has its eyes on you now. Now is the time to take action. Please do not ever let us lose another idol or one of your people again to suicide.

Thank you, Jonghyun, for all the wonderful memories over the years. Thank you for touching us with your voice and music. You did well. May You Rest in Peace.
