Thanjavur is known for its rich history and culture and is home to the Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In today's episode of "History, Heritage, Festival & Handlooms of India" , let us take you all to Thanjavur. Thanjavur, also known as Tanjore, is a city located in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
We visited the Big Temple or the Brihadeswara Temple. We enjoyed the Local Tamil Food in Thanjavur. We loved going to the colurful flower market too. Since it was 25th december when we visited, the churches were beautifully decorated. We visited the Royal Palace Museum and the Saraswati Mahal Library.
