In this video, you will learn how to use Regions in Revit. This includes filled regions and masking regions. All regions are 2D elements are only usable in 2D views. They are used primarily to change the look or override parts of a view to achieve the desired result using hatch patterns. Hatch patterns are what is used to create the filled region. You can use both foreground and background regions like anything else in Revit to get the right look. Be sure to rename the filled region type to reflect the region itself. Masking regions are essentially solid white opaque filled regions. Use them to mask out or remove things with white. For both regions, you can change the borderline type for the right look as well. Finally, filled regions can be masked in the type properties so you cannot see through the hatch pattern (formerly opaque) and unmasked to see through the hatch pattern (formerly transparent). Thanks for watching!
