Barracks Room Tour (Camp Lejeune)

UPDATE (Jan. 2014): This video was filmed back in 2010 while I was in the Navy. I'm no longer in the Navy as of 2012.

The reason I posted this video is because I saw a lot of other "room tours" being posted on Youtube where girls displayed how lovely their room was with all their fancy things. I decided to show my barracks room so that people could see what it was like being in the military, kind of a contrast. Living in the barracks is a simple and interesting kind of lifestyle, one that I appreciated, but wouldn't want to go through again.

This video is kind of embarrassing to me, but I figure people can learn from it if they're deciding to join, so I'll keep it up for you peeps! ;)

FAQ:

Q: Why are you wearing a Marine uniform when you're in the Navy?
A: I was stationed with the marines. Being a hospital corpsman you have the opportunity to go "green side" and serve with the marines instead of the navy. I was picked to go green side. Also, the marines don't have their own medical, so that's where the Navy steps in.

Q: Are you LDS?
A: Yes I am! My scriptures gave me away ;)

Q: What's Camp Lejeune like?
A: The base is very vast and green. The weather is hot and muggy. The surrounding city, Jacksonville NC, is quite small, and there's not a whole bunch to do unless you travel to Raleigh or Wilmington. It's about 30 minutes from the beach, so that's pretty cool. All in all, it's what you make of it.
