Overview
Hadley's Hope lost contact with the Weyland-Yutani staff, so the Colonial Marine troops of the USS Sulaco decided to send their team to investigate. Players take the role of either Lieutenant Ellen Ripley or Corporal Dwayne Hicks as they fight their way through Xenomorphs before killing their Queen, which is a stowaway in the Sulaco. Three of the levels also featured Newt, where the players must rescue her from the Aliens.

Story
From the silver screen to the playing screen comes ALIENS, the spine-tingling space adventure. Join the crew as they battle menacing alien life forms in yet another daring rescue mission. Fifty-seven years have passed since the last confrontation with the aliens. The universe was safe--at least everyone thought so. However, the nightmare is just about to begin...again. At the abandoned space settlement on LV426 Acheron, an alien breeding ground has been detected. You are sent as part of the special task force to destroy this deadly alien haven before it gets too far out of control.This time it's war! Upon arrival at LV426 Acheron, the magnitude of the threat sinks in. The settle-ment is overrun with aliens, and you are expected to eliminate every one of them.The mission takes you through airways, elevators, underground waterways, and tunnel systems within the space colony. Along the way, you will encounter a multitude of species of alien creatures.The situation gets worse, so you must get tougher. In addition to fighting the ex-isting aliens, there are also incubation rooms and hatching grounds everywhere. You must dodge fatal electric shock waves, barricades, steam blasts, and dripping doses of alien acid in pursuit of your goal. The task of blowing away the aliens is aided with the use of such power weapons as missiles, triple bullets, flamethrowers, three-way shots, and bombs.You proceed into the mother alien's lair, where she is hatching her larvae. After destroying her, you believe the mission is accomplished, and settle into the space ship for the long journey home. However, you soon realize that there is one more alien-and it's in your ship. In the last, most desperate fight, the fate of the universe depends on you. Will the alien win, and come back to your colony to wipe out all human life, or can you emerge victorious, destroying the alien and blasting its remains into outer space ?


Characters

Lieutenant First Class Ellen Louise Ripley - was a civilian adviser to the United States Colonial Marine Corps and a hugely influential figure in humanity's encounters with the species Xenomorph XX121. She was the mother of Amanda Ripley-McClaren and the forebear of Alan Decker.

Corporal Dwayne Hicks - was a member of the United States Colonial Marine Corps, part of 2nd Battalion Bravo Team. He was a member of the combat unit deployed to LV-426 aboard the USS Sulaco in 2179, to investigate the sudden loss of contact with the colony of Hadley's Hope. He was subsequently involved in combating the Xenomorph infestation at the colony.
