The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover (nee The Wedway PeopleMover (1975-1994), then The Tomorrowland Transit Authority (1994-2009)) opened in September 1975. The attraction takes you on a relaxing 10 minute guided tour, touching or entering almost every building/attraction in Tomorrowland.
There's two versions of the attraction in this video. The first ride-though was taken in the afternoon in 2002 (except for a 15 second clip inside of Space Mountain that was taped in 2000), so the first half is technically the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. No "Peoplemover". That also means the first half of this video is a NTSC 480i video, enlarged and enhanced to 1080p.
The second ride-through is at night in December 2009 in HD, and you get the ice-lights on the castle and Christmas music in background through Tomorrowland, lol. I also removed a minute of darkness and silence inside of Space Mountain. This was right after Space Mountain's refurb, I assume the construction walls that were blocking the views were still up. (We just rode Space Mountain, so was open...)
Chapters:
00:00 SD Version (Daytime, 2002)
02:10 EPCOT
10:40 HD Version (Nighttime, 2009)
11:38 EPCOT
Other Stuff:
The PeopleMover, like the monorail, was supposed to be one of the main ways to move people around in EPCOT. (The City Of Tomorrow, not the Theme Park.) The Monorail was to be for longer distance travel, and the PeopleMover for shorter distances. (And as a tribute, one of the models of EPCOT is shown in the first building entered.)
It runs on Linear Induction Motors, which are smoother, less noisy, and less polluting than an internal combustion engine, or even brushed electric motors of the time. If it weren't for the roll-back stops, the ride of the vehicle would be as quiet as the wheels/tires would allow.
The ride vehicles run at a screaming 7 mph, over a 5500 foot track. There are 32 vehicles, and each can hold 30 guests. The attraction is just over 10 minutes long. If you do the math, that comes to a theoretical 5000+ guests/hour at full capacity.
It has a continuously moving load and unload platform, a method of getting large numbers of guests on and off attractions without having to stop the vehicle. Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Spaceship Earth, Nemo (I think)... Ever study queue theory? Lol.
