This Place in History: Rudyard Kipling's Naulakha

Famed British author Rudyard Kipling lived in Vermont while writing The Jungle Book and other novels. His wife's family was from Dummerston and that connection brought Kipling to the area. He designed the house to look like a ship. The historic house is owned and preserved by the Landmark Trust USA.
