Bali Island, is one of the most beautiful island and the most destination in the world. Baliness culture was strongly influenced by Indian, Chinese and particulary Hindu Culture and also known as the Land of Gods. It is certain that Bali has been populated since early prehistoric time.The oldest human artefacts found are about 3000 years old stone tools and earthenware vessels from Cekik. The earliest written records  are stone inscriptions dating from around the 9th century. In ancient, nine Hindu sect existed, namely Pasupata, Bhairawa, Siwa Shidanta, Waisnawa, Bodha, Brahma, Resi, Sora, Ganapatya. First known European contact with Bali is though to have made in 1512 when portuquese expedition reached its northern coast. In 1585 the Portuquese government in Malacca sent a ship to establish a fort and trading post in Bali and the ship foundered on the reef of Bukit Peninsula. In 1597 , Cornelis de Houtman, Dutch explorer arrived in Bali with 89 surviving men then Visited Kuta And Bukit Peninsula.

Imperial Japan occupied  Bali during World war II , A Balinese military officer, Gusty Ngurah Rai formed a Balinese’ freedom army”.

Harshness of war requisitions made Japanese rule more resented than Dutch rule. Dutch returned to Indonesia (Bali) to reinstate their pre-war colonial administration. In 1946 the Dutch constituted  Bali as one of the 13 administrative districts of the newly proclaimed State of East Indonesia. Bali was included in the Republic of the United States of Indonesia when the Netherlands recognised Indonesia independence on 29 December 1949.
