Volvo L35B Compact Wheel Loader - Familiarization

Hi. I'm Ed with BlueLine Rental. And today, I'm going to go over what you should do on a daily basis prior to operating this machine. This is an L35B compact wheel loader. The very first thing you should do prior to starting this unit is come back to the engine compartment and check all the fluid levels -very important that the engine oil and the hydraulic fluid, and the fuel level is all within operating ranges before you start using this machine.

You should also take a look at the air filter to make sure it's clean and not caked with dirt. After doing this, you should take time to walk around the machine. Note any damage to the machine things that potentially happen prior, in the prior day's work. Also, very important that you check all four tires to make sure they're inflated properly, have no cuts cause you do not want one of these tires blowing out under a heavy load once you've used the bucket and pick up your pay load.

Another thing you should do is make sure you look under the machine to make sure there's no fluids or any of the fittings have come loose and leaked. If you find any type of fluid under the machine, or puddle, or hydraulic fluid, you should report it immediately, because you don't need to operate this machine unless 100 percent to manufacturer's spec.
