West Bengal SIR: বিহারে প্রথম দফায় SIR হওয়ার পর এবার, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সহ ১২টি রাজ্য ও কেন্দ্রশাসিত অঞ্চলে দ্বিতীয় দফায় SIR ঘোষণা করেছে ভারতের নির্বাচন কমিশন। ২৮শে অক্টোবর ২০২৫ থেকে এই কাজ শুরু হয়ে যাচ্ছে। ২০২৬ সালের ৭ই ফেব্রুয়ারির মধ্যে এই SIR-এর কাজ শেষ করবে কমিশন। ৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি প্রকাশিত হবে, নতুন ভোটার তালিকা। এরপরই পশ্চিমবঙ্গে ২০২৬-এর বিধানসভা নির্বাচনের নির্ঘণ্ট ঘোষণা করতে চলেছে। পশ্চিমবঙ্গের পাশাপাশি একই সঙ্গে নির্বাচন হতে চলেছে প্রতিবেশী রাজ্য অসমেও। কিন্তু, প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে, পশ্চিমবঙ্গে SIR হলেও, অসমে কেনও হচ্ছে না এই কাজ?

West Bengal SIR: The Election Commission Of India has declared second phase SIR in 12 states and union territory including West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar islands. West Bengal is scheduled to have assembly elections next year. Ahead of the elections, SIR is important in all terms. Assam is also election bound along with West Bengal. But, there is no SIR.
