A trip to the Bristol Harbourside Railway today with @southwalestrainspotting5090 for a rare opportunity to embark on a nostalgic journey along the Bristol docks between the M Shed Museum, along the New Cut branch to Vauxhall Bridge aboard a GWR brake van hauled by an authentic GWR Pannier Tank locomotive 1389, which was on loan from the South Devon Railway, while M Sheds own Peckett Saddle Tank 1940 ‘Henbury’ is down in Devon. • SOUTH DEVON WINTER STEAM GALA! ‘Henbury’ F...
The Pannier has worked a couple of photo charters but this is likely to be the only public running day before it heads back to Buckfastleigh, and it looked right at home working amongst the cityscape, giving brake van rides and shunting around the Harbourside as part of #Railway200! | 14.03.2025
