Aayna , meaning "mirror" in Bengali, is a pioneering figure in Kolkata's electronic music scene. Raised in a family immersed in Rabindra Sangeet and dance, she and her sister made history as the city's first female DJ duo. Influenced by the Roland TB-303 and 80s-90s acid house pioneers like Dj Pierre, Aayna blends disco, electro, breaks, and more with a raw acid edge in her sets.
She has performed alongside artists such as Special Request, Jamie Jones, and Tale of Us at festivals like Echoes of Earth in Bangalore and Grasslands in Nepal. Aayna's DJ prowess is renowned for its masterful mixing and ability to captivate audiences across India and internationally. Now delving into music production, she continues to innovate, bridging classic bass with contemporary rhythms, ensuring the enduring impact of acid sound in electronic music.
