Waste Connections of San Jose | Peterbilt 520 Labrie Minimax Helping-Hand (

The Waste Connections of San Jose yard is split into two operations; GreenTeam of San Jose for collection within the western city limits, and the West Valley Collection & Recycling operation being designated for the smaller southwestern Santa Clara County cities, and the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The WVCR operation has recently purchased a majority Labrie fleet for their residential operations, with these Minimaxes being designated for the hard-to-service routes.

Occasionally, WVCR drivers can volunteer for open GreenTeam routes within the San Jose city limits. As they are technically under the same entity, drivers don't need to swap to GreenTeam trucks to collect on San Jose routes. Because of that, sometimes you get some funky trucks collecting in the city on routes meant for regular GreenTeam trucks. Usually you'll get the full sized WVCR Labrie Automizers to knock out the entire route by itself. In this case it just so happened to be a Minimax with another truck on the route.
