What turned out to be the grandest of the four stopovers so far, the Indo-German Urban Mela Delhi saw more than 1,40,000 visitors over the nine days - from October 27th to November 4th. The Urban Mela in Delhi captured the hearts of Dilliwaalas, packing in a crowd from neighbouring areas as well.

Set-up at the Indraprastha "Millennium" Park, the opening ceremony for the Urban Mela in Delhi was held in the presence of Lt. Governor Shri Tejender Khanna, Bollywood actor and social cause enthusiast Sushmita Sen, The German Ambassador to India Michael Steiner, Managing Director of the Goethe-Institut Dr. Bruno Gross and Representative Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA) & Chairman BASF Companies in India & Head South Asia Prasad Chandran. Together, the guests of honour illuminated the ceremonial lamp.

The 13th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) co-incided with the Indo-German Urban Mela Delhi. Global heads of major businesses, political leaders and important figures in trade and commerce, including Dr. Philipp Rösler, Federal Minister of Economics and Technology (BMWi) participated in extensive discussions over three days, the reception for which was held at the venue of the Urban Mela.

Visitors of all ages experienced the most vibrant performance by Ayaan Ali Khan.
