This is the practical gift that you did not know you needed! I have made loads of wet bags. They are not just for babies. You can use them for wet swim suits, laundry, stinky wet work out clothes, your toddler's wet clothes and more! If I am not filming I think I can make one in under 10 minutes.
PUL can be difficult to work with. It is much easier to sew if you have a walking foot. If you do not have a walking foot, just go slow and have a little patience. I definitely recommend using clips instead of pins. The Dritz wonder tape also makes the job easier and neater. I recommend using a purse zipper because you will enjoy the larger zipper pull and the wider tape is easier to work with because you will not need to use a zipper foot.
I love to make Mother's Day gifts for my mum. I am a few days late this year because this cold is really packing a wallop. I know she will get a lot of good use out of this wet bag. It is a definite step up to the plastic grocery bag she has been using and reusing.
