I tried winter van life alone in the Scottish Highlands. Join me as I continue my solo travels in Scotland. This time I visit Doune Castle, which is a famous filming location for the Outlander series, and find a quiet place to spend the night. From cold, gloomy days on the road to a cosy night in my campervan in nature, this is a realistic look at winter van life in Scotland is like.

Travelling alone as a solo female, I share the highs but also the challenges of winter in Scotland with heavy rain, flooded roads and short daylight hours. The Scottish Highlands in winter can feel unpredictable, but at the same time the quietness and beautiful scenery makes it so special and worth the effort of going on a road trip.
