Before i even type the entire description here:

In absolutely NO way do I condone this character’s behavior in season 2 nor is this edit trying to repaint this character as some kind of protagonist. I’ve included scenes pre-possession specifically for this edit not to be mistaken for something it’s not. This is a character study- nothing more.
Now I’ve always wanted to do a character study (and for my first one I’m not sure if I did it quite as I envisioned haha) but as someone who despised this character for numerous reasons in season 2, Dacre sure did one hell of a job with Billy in season 3.

The montage of his father forcing him to not be "a pussy” atop of the relentless child abuse and his mother abandoning him definitely gave a lot of context to his behavior. Personally, I believe this season showed the audience that he was conditioned to act a certain way and I for one feel sympathetic for this character.

I don’t believe anyone is just wrong by “default” (except for perhaps the most extreme cases) however it must be recognized that although he died in a heroic scene- he had a lot more developing to do - a lot more that I wish could’ve been touched upon.

Thank you Dacre for creating such a complex take on such a cliche trope.
