Five Macintosh Games from 1995: Swoop, Blobs, Vivarium, Quickslip and Netherworld. YYsMG Showcase

This edition of the YYsMG Showcase explores five small shareware/freeware Mac games from 1995.

Swoop is a Galaxian clone published by Ambrosia. Blast away at little froglike aliens and try and hit the lead ones in flight to get powerups.

Blobs sees the player place down large colourful spheres which must be placed together with the right number of connecting blobs to remove them from the play area and win points.

Vivarium is an ecosystem simulator and more of a toy rather than a game. Simulate four animals of various capabilities as well as natural food generation and watch them evolve.

Quickslip is a nice idea on paper but doesn't quite hit the mark. Collect objects, avoid hazards.

Netherworld is a shooter with the ship plonked in the middle of the screen. Rescue stranded souls to progress through the stages and pulverize legions of demons to crank up the score.
