Quick Video Preview of the Lake House Fitness Trail
Distance: 0.8 miles, loop
Surface: Primarily paved path, short earthen trail through woods. Option to take paved shortcut back to trail finish to make loop wheelchair or stroller friendly.
Difficulty: Easy, minimal elevation rise.
Navigation: Start at Lake House front door, take sidewalk on right out to bike path, turn right onto bike path and follow clockwise around Palmetto Lake.
Bear left around the fence when you reach the playground to take the full trail loop through the woods, or stay straight on paved path back towards Lake House front door. Cross the bridge and take the trail straight through the woods. Turn right when you reach the bike path again and take the first driveway back to Lake House front door.
Throughout your walk, looks for blue and yellow markers on path surface, trees or posts. Keep blue markers on your right and yellow markers on your left.
Attractions: Wildlife and Birds on Palmetto Lake, Shaded wooded walk.
