Hello Everyone!
We are back with a new recipe Karela Bharwa. Bitter melon (karela) has a lot of health benifits. However, a lot of people don`t like bitter melon (karela) as it is bitter in taste. But in this recipe of stuffed bitter melon i.e. karela bharwa we have paid special attention to reduce the bitterness. We boil the bitter melon for about 12 minutes and then remove the seeds. Later we fry the onion and tomato paste with a lot of spices and stuff it back in the bitter melon. At last we fry the stuffed bitter melon on the pan and it is ready. This bharwa karela recipe is very popular in Nepal, different regions of North India such as Punjab, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and Pakistan.

Here is the complete list of the ingredients:
3 medium sized bitter melon (karela)
2 large onions (make paste out of it)
1 large tomato (make paste)
1 tbsp garlic & ginger paste
1 tsp mixed whole spices (panch phoran)
2 bay leaves
½ tsp turmeric powder
1½ tsp salt ( as per taste)
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp black pepper
4-5 tbsp cooking oil
