Léon Marchand (born May 17, 2002) is a French swimmer and is one of the most successful athletes in his discipline. He holds the world record in the 400-meter medley and 200-meter medley. He is also the Olympic record holder in the 200 meter butterfly, 200 meter breaststroke, 200 meter medley and 400 meter medley. In France, he holds the national records in the 200-meter medley, 200-meter butterfly and 200-meter breaststroke.
At the 2024 Olympic Games, Marchand won four gold medals in the individual events over 200 meters medley, 200 meters breaststroke, 200 meters butterfly and 400 meters medley. This made him the fourth swimmer and the third male swimmer in Olympic history to win four individual gold medals in a single event.
