Dead Kings & Savior Gods: Shamanism and Thracian Religion [Lecture]

Dan Attrell gives a lecture entitled "Dead Kings & Savior Gods" on the divinization of kings and shaman among the tribes who populated the regions just north of Ancient Greece. He explores their life on the frontier of the Indo-European world, and their stories of great shamanic figures like Orpheus, Zalmoxis, and Rhesus in Ancient Greek literature.
