Hello again after a longer break.
While walking around Śródmieście discrict, one of the old tenement houses on Kościuszki Street attracted my attention for a long time. The appearance of the tenement house and the number of floors gave hope for the presence of a pre-war elevator. As it turned out, I met something completely different.
The license elevator shown in this video, however, has some interesting features. Due to the specificity of the building in which it is located, it has a fairly deep door frame. The cab, despite its low capacity, seems to be quite large. The buttons strongly resemble those used in the fourth generation, but were originally intended for ZREMB elevators with automatic doors (a plug on the door opening button). An interesting feature is also the blue light of the 2nd floor button (visible at the end of the video). The shaft deserves the most attention. It's much larger in relation to the cab. On the sides you can see a large unused space (some cables). So, was there any older elevator here before the license elevator? Or maybe at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, a dedicated space for the current elevator shaft was created?
The elevator itself works very well for its age. At the same time, a great atmosphere can be felt in the staircase.
