TRIP REPORT | Norwegian Boeing 737-8 MAX | OSL-ARN | DY804

Join me on this intra-Scandinavian flight from Oslo to Stockholm on Norwegian Air Shuttle, on board one of their Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

Overall a classic, mostly satisfactory flight between the two Scandinavian capitals. The flight was on time, the aircraft quite modern, the crew friendly for the most part, and the aircraft was no more than two thirds full, meaning more than enough room to stretch out. With that said, if there’s one thing about the flight that surprised me, it’s the fact that the entire crew was Spanish, with none of them speaking a Scandinavian language (besides a few key words and expressions). It may be true that English proficiency is high in the Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Norway & Sweden), not to mention that I speak fairly decent Spanish as well. Nevertheless, in my opinion, it just doesn’t cut it not to have a single Scandinavian-speaking crew member on a flight from Oslo to Stockholm, especially on an airline that calls itself "Norwegian".
