I guess this will be my first vent/rant video, and hopefully my last. I made this video in anger and decided to make it a full-length vid because I was hoping my anger would dissipate in the few days it would take me to get it online, and thus make my rant very short and to the point... oh well. I happen to live in the lovely state of North Carolina that just happened to pass the harmful, ridiculous, and heteropatriarchal bullshit that is Amendment 1 due to a ridiculous amount of homophobia and religious right fervor. This amendment had absolutely no impact on whether or not gay marriage was actually allowed in North Carolina, considering it's already banned. No this amendment took away money given to single mothers for their children, disallowed even domestic unions from other states being recognized and the limited benefits that come with them, etc. I hate NC SOO much right now. STUPID STUPID southerners. What the hell is wrong with you? Educate yourselves before you go and vote PLEASE. This did NOT only affect gay couples. But NOO, homophobia is so fucking rampant that they willingly blind themselves to any harmful side effects this bill will have, even for non married HETEROSEXUAL couples. Screw NC, screw my life, screw people who still think its acceptable to deny anybody their basic human rights. I'm a pansexual, so this may or may not end up directly affecting me and my personal life, but it sure as hell affects those of my friends and family. I am ashamed to be a citizen of this state anymore. Obama, what you said was nice and all, but if I don't see some more action to back up that viewpoint on your part, it's virtually useless to those of us out here who actually have to deal with this shit. Besides, what the hell ever happened to the separation of Church and State?! or is that just a nice fantasy made up to keep us non-christians placated enough to accept the rest of your bullshit? I hate everything right now, and if you actually read through this, i'm sorry. I don't normally feel the need to vent through the internet, but this just pissed me off in so many ways. Besides, I've been deeply depressed lately and this just had to come along and top it all off. FUCK LIFE.

P.S. I know I said I would explain about cows with my next video, but that was before this whole shitstorm went down. I should be in a happy mood when discussing happy and beautiful things, and I am most definitely not in a happy mood right now. Sorry, but probably next time, unless something else happens that really pisses me off... let's hope not though .
