Amidon-Bowen Black History Month Program 2025 "Black and White"

I'm at a loss for words when trying to explain to my daughter why the words diversity, equity and inclusion have all of a sudden become a justification for firing thousands of people. So back to basics! This video I put together of Amidon-Bowen Elementary School"s Black History Month's program celebrates DEI, and hopefully is a reminder of how far we've come since Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech. But also how far we have to go in this new political climate, in which "cancel culture" has been turned upside down. Who can say whether DEI will be used as an excuse to cancel celebrations such as these? But in the meantime...hope you enjoy this. #whatswrongwithdei?
