Here we kayak the 24 miles from Rush Landing to Riley's Outfitters on the Buffalo National River. This stretch is known as the Lower Buffalo Wilderness, because there is zero access to the river. No boat ramps, launches, campgrounds, bridges or roads. It's no Ponca and doesn't harbor the treasured scenery of the upper Buffalo River, but it is well worth the paddle, especially in June when the upper is unfloatable. We'd have to cross the White River at the end of our Journey to reach Riley's. The Harriet Gauge was just under 400cfs for our trip.
