A rebuild/rewind of a vintage Power Transformer from a Crosley model 635 receiver. Some of the OEM as-built parameters below:
~50 Watts - Laminations 1" x 1" = 1" square x 1.5" H
110.0V Winding: 28 AWG ~313 Circular Mils per Amp
5.0V Winding: 19 AWG ~645 Circular Mils per Amp
6.3V Winding: 21 AWG ~352 Circular Mils per Amp
HV Windings: 37 AWG ~304 Circular Mils per Amp
Rebuild/rewind parameters:
~50 Watts - Laminations 1" x 1" = 1" square x 1.5" H
110.0V Winding: 26 AWG ~560 Circular Mils per Amp - 605 Turns
5.0V Winding: 18 AWG ~812 Circular Mils per Amp - 29 Turns - 2.0A - 5.4V Unloaded
6.3V Winding: 18 AWG ~706 Circular Mils per Amp - 36 Turns - 2.3A - 6.5V Unloaded
HV Windings: 35 AWG ~574 Circular Mils per Amp - 1,444 Turns x 2 - 0.055A - 265-0-265V Unloaded
The 5.0V and 6.3V windings were wound by hand.
Due to the electrical and physical limitations of the transformer, it should be fused on the primary side in addition to the center tap side.
