【名建築】築100年の古民家を100年先の未来へつなぐ宿へ再生させた建築プロジェクト｜里山十帖 THE HOUSE

Satoyama Jujo stands quietly in the mountains of Minami-Uonuma, Niigata.
Originally a traditional farmhouse that supported local life for generations,
the building has been thoughtfully restored—its history, climate, and food culture
woven into a contemporary design.

The long-standing rhythms of snow-country life, the wisdom of preserved foods,
and the subtle pulse of the satoyama landscape.
Visiting this place is more than a simple stay;
it is an experience of touching the memories held by the land itself.

In this video, I capture—from my own perspective—
the quiet weight of history that has accumulated here
and the philosophy of a lodging that seeks to carry that legacy forward.

The winter satoyama blanketed in white,
the depth of its fermentation culture,
and the harmony between architecture and nature—
each offers moments that invite you to forget the passage of time.

Although the journey was brief,
it reminded me of the quiet richness that comes
from spending time in a place shaped by history.

新潟・南魚沼の山間に佇む「里山十帖」。
かつて古民家として人々の暮らしを支えてきた建物を再生し、
地域の歴史・風土・食文化を現代のデザインで紡ぎ直した宿です。

長く続く雪国の営み、保存食の知恵、
里山に息づく暮らしのリズム。
ここを訪れると、単なる滞在ではなく、
“土地の記憶に触れる体験”を味わうことができます。

今回の動画では、
静かに積み重ねられてきた歴史の重みと、
それを丁寧に未来へとつなぐ宿の哲学を、
私の視点でゆっくりと記録しました。

冬の里山に広がる白銀の風景、
発酵文化の奥深さ、
建築と自然が呼応する空間の力。
どれも、時間を忘れて浸れる魅力ばかりです。

短い旅でしたが、
“歴史を宿す場所に身を置くこと”の豊かさを
改めて感じた滞在でした。
