राजनीति में दो तरह की शक्तियां होती हैं। एक जनता के समर्थन के बल पर मिलती है और दूसरी सत्ता के कारण । सत्ता के कारण मिली शक्ति सत्ता जाने के बाद भी पूरी तरह ख़त्म नहीं होती। यदि सत्ता लम्बे समय तक रहे तो सत्ता जाने के काफ़ी समय बाद तक उसका प्रभाव बना रहता है। जो वंशवादी पार्टियां हैं उनके प्रभाव का असर और ज़्यादा देर तक बना रहता है। नष्ट तो रावण का परिवार भी हो गया। आज के राजनीतिक दलों और नेताओं में रावण जैसा अहंकार आ जाय तो उसका मानमर्दन करने का तरीक़ा इस देश का मतदाता बखूबी जानता है । पर यह बात ज़्यादातर पार्टियां और नेता भूल जाते हैं। तब जनता उनको सच की ज़मीन पर पटकती है
