In this Physics (Ray Optics) video lecture in Hindi we discussed, using ray diagram, the image formation in convex spherical refracting lens by refraction.
When the object is placed beyond the twice of the first principal focus, the image is formed between the second principal focus and the twice of the second principal focus and the image is real, inverted and smaller than the object.
When the object is placed at the twice of the first principal focus, the image is formed at the second principal focus and the image is real, inverted and of the same size as of the object.
When the object is placed between the first principal focus and the twice of the first principal focus, the image is formed beyond the second principal focus and the image is real, inverted and larger than the object.
When the object is placed at the first principal focus, the image is formed at infinity and the image is real, inverted and infinitely large.
When the object is placed less than the first principal focus, the image is virtual, erect and larger than the object.
