Hoover H-WASH 700 Cottons 60 extra rinse (heavy soil) (bulky load test)

washing a full load of bedding and towels with ariel fast dissolving powder and lenor amber and orchidee softener

overall quite a good cottons cycle. the cycle length is really good for a full length cottons cycle and does a really good wash and rinses.

unfortunately the spinning really badly lets the machine down. the spins on this work like mieles where it's on a timer and can time out but it's even worse and can happen more often on this. while it wasn't the case in this video as it never got to do any bursts on the second spin I've had times where it managed to balance but ended up timing out and aborting the spin while doing the bursts because of how many it does. it's like haier/hoover have programmed it expecting it to go into spin straight away then have to rebalance as it progresses through its bursts so can be a bit of an issue with bulky loads like this that need more time for balancing

the final spin also had a few shenanigans. for starters the machine got stuck filling to clean the door glass before the main spin because it turned the pump of which resulted in a waterlock forming as it slowed down. it continues to fill up and doesn't stop until the machine has fully drained all the water out. very weird I know I've had it do that a few times and it mainly seems to happen with fuller loads like this.

the final spin also pretty much sudslocked at full speed because it can't drain out the water at faster speeds. the load came out very wet for a 1400rpm spin so respun it and the same thing happened. all in all the load took 4 hours and 10 minutes to finish drying in the dryer. it's such a shame as it's such a fun machine to use and the cycles are so flexible it's amazing but the spin massively lets it down especially for people like myself who have a heat pump dryer especially as there's not really much you can do about it. I wish Cottons done the eco 40-60 full 1600rpm spin I feel it really should be doing that.
