My E-flite P-51D Mustang Lou IV motor mount (E-flite Motor Mount Set: P-51D 1.5m EFL01272) broke mid flight a month ago. Propeller with motor attached chopped up the front of the plane then dangled by wires. Was able to dead stick land and save the rest of the bird.

E-flite Motor Mount Set: P-51D 1.5m EFL01272 part is discontinued and out of stock in USA. Purchased one from UK hobby shop but it’s still on back order. I miss flying this plane so I asked for help in RCGroups. Got great advice with one option of using an FMS motor mount.

I wanted to remain within the E-flite ecosystem so I checked for 1.5m planes released around same time with the P-51D. Found the discontinued E-flite Focke-Wulf Fw 190A 1.5m Smart BNF Basic with AS3X and SAFE Select EFL01350.

The E-flite Motor Mount Set: FW190A 1.5m EFL01371 is still being sold so I gave it a try and bought the part. OhMyGoodness! The part is an exact match!
