Vaughan Williams's orchestral setting of old sea songs, accompanied by modern paintings of (mostly) the Nelson-era Royal Navy. William Boughton conducts the English Symphony Orchestra on the Nimbus label. Most of the paintings are by Geoff Hunt, a member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
