After the breakup of Yugoslavia, the war in Dubrovnik began in early October 1991, when Serbian and Montenegrin troops began a siege of the city.
Already in November, attacks began on the fortress on Srđ Hill, which became a crucial point of defense for the city itself.
The attacks in November went along the northern slope, and artillery fiercely pounded the peak, and shell remains are found everywhere.
The most interesting find is certainly part of a fuse for a 105mm howitzer projectile with preserved markings.
In the Srđ area, there are also a number of other fortifications from another time, such as Austro-Hungarian artillery positions and a large tank.
