It’s been a minute—but Im back! Easing in with a pottery essential: the classic 2lb cylinder. This form is the foundation for so many pieces, and the perfect way to shake off the rust and get back into rhythm on the wheel.
In this video, I’m also testing out a new clay body — Standard 800. Chestnut with speckles. We’ll cover basics like even pulls, wall consistency, and keeping that top rim in check. Check out the end when I cut it open to show hand placement and show you what one more pull would have done.
