Fred Brazelton is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Platform Partners, a Houston-based investment holding company. At Platform, Fred is responsible for managing all aspects of the investment activities including capital raising, investment sourcing, due diligence, and management of portfolio companies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of several Platform-backed companies operating in a range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, and technology.
Fred previously was a Partner of The CapStreet Group, a private equity firm that invests in middle-market companies, primarily in Texas. Prior to joining CapStreet, Fred worked for the private equity firms of Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst and Willis Stein & Partners after starting his career in investment banking at CS First Boston. Fred received his BBA from the Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from Stanford University.
Outside of work, Fred is active within the Houston community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Welch Foundation and is an Advisory Board member for the WorkFaith Connection and the Small Steps Nurturing Center, where he previously served as Chairman. He is an active member of Grace Bible Church, and enjoys bird hunting, fly fishing, and watching his kids play sports.
