$2 Journey to the End of the World 🇧🇴

Join us on an adventure through Bolivia's extreme high altitude plains, one of the most remote regions in the entire country and all of South America. At way up over 4000m this place is bloody mental.

Our journey began in El Alto, Bolivia's most dangerous city. Armed with some pink popcorn and a bag of Bolivia's finest coca leaves we jumped into a minibus heading to a little town called Patacamaya in the middle of Bolivian nowhere.

Here we bagged ourselves some red bull flavoured coca leaves then spent FAR too long walking round this dusty eyesore of a town looking for a bus heading to the next village.

Eventually we found our minibus and spent the journey talking absolute rubbish with a couple of indigenous Bolivian grannies. Best part is the whole journey cost us about $2, fan bloody tastic.

Starving and low on oxygen we dropped our bags off at one of the world's cheapest hotels before hitting the village market for a big plate of fried llama meat. Was a bit suspicious but filled a hole.

Now here in this tiny Bolivian village in the middle of South American nowhere lies one of the greatest churches on earth, obviously it was bloody closed... typical.

Woke up shattered the next day to a message from the priest inviting us to go visit the might Curahuara De Carangas church, result!

They say this church is Bolivia's sistine chapel and I can see why, it was absolutely incredible.

The journey continues next time as we make our way closer to the world's highest border crossing.
