Yes… the howls were real 😂
Zeus was NOT happy when the shower started — he had opinions and he sang them loudly.
But the warm water did what warm water does best… it worked its sleepy magic right there in the shower. No harsh sprays, no cold shock — just steady, warm, gentle water, and a mama talking to him softly so he knew he was safe even while he complained.
And then, I laid him in my lap and let the warm water tun iver him
his eyes got heavy, his little head drooped, and he drifted off to sleep while the water was still running.
By the time the shower ended, he was fully passed out, warm, calm, and melting into my arms like a tiny, wet, sleepy cloud. I held him close, letting him feel my heartbeat, the warmth, and the comfort of being home — and he stayed right there, snoozing peacefully against me.
This moment wasn’t about a bath.
It was about trust replacing worry, warmth replacing protest, and a puppy finally finding peace in the place he now calls home.
Zeus didn’t just come home today…
He felt home for the first time tonight.
