Ilse and I are back at it again, tackling some of New Hampshires toughest winter 4,000 footers! The Carters are def a difficult day but we managed to laugh and have fun in the grueling process of getting through so many blow downs and deep snow drifts.
This was a great day and though it was cold, we had appropriate gear and clothing for the task.
Always ensure you have proper food, clothing, gear and knowledge before tackling any hike especially in winter.

We parked at 19 Mile Brook trailhead, took the Joe Doge shortcut to the Imp trail, then up to the Carter Moriah Trail, snagged Middle and South Carter, then turned at Zeta Pass and took Carter Dome trail back town to 19 Mile Brook and to the car.
