Corsets and abdominal binder can have a variety of benefits for people with high-level spinal cord injuries with limited trunk function (quadriplegic and higher-level paraplegics). Corsets and binders can help with core stability when sitting and standing in a standing frame or callipers, increase pressure in the abdomen and help counter low blood pressure when sitting or standing.
