The story showcases the life and struggles of a girl called Bhoomi, whose whole life revolves around her father. She has been brought up so simply that she believes in a utopian world, where bad and evil people like Ravana only existed in novels and fiction. Hence she also dreams of getting married to a simple sober man like any other girl. She is in for a massive shock, when circumstantially she gets married to Jayjeet who is the son of a rich landlord and is a spoilt brat. Bhoomi however takes it up in her stride and vows to bring a change in Jayjeet.
