Abortion is healthcare and a human right. Yet globally, 40% of women live in countries where abortion is banned, restricted or inaccessible. Sometimes, abortion is criminalised, often it’s just too difficult to access.
These laws and restrictions drive women to difficult and dangerous decisions. According to the World Health Organisation, a woman dies from an unsafe abortion every 13 minutes, because she was denied access to safe care.
As one of the world’s leading abortion providers, we’re fighting to change this. Across 36 countries and six continents, we're providing and advocating for reproductive choice. Delivering services, training providers, challenging stigma, and advocating for change.
